Aramid / Meta-Aramid Packing
Aramid packing is a type of pump and valve packing that is made using aramid fibers, which are known for their exceptional strength and durability. Aramid fibers are synthetic fibers that are made from long chain polymer molecules, and they are commonly used in a range of industrial applications due to their excellent resistance to abrasion, chemicals, and heat.
Aramid packing is designed to provide a long-lasting seal in demanding applications where traditional packing materials may fail. It is commonly used in pumps and valves that handle abrasive or corrosive media, such as slurry, chemicals, and acids.
When using an interlocked braided construction (slike our Style 300 does), aramid packing provides a dense, strong, and durable seal that can withstand high pressures and temperatures.
