One of the questions we're often asked about all of our MS Polymers, Silicones and other Elastic Adhesive Sealants; How Much Will I Need?

HT 300 Silicone Sealant used to Create a High Temperature Adhesive SealThe table below should help.

This table gives you an estimate of how much sealant you'll need for a particular job. It assumes a rectangular section and presents the results in two different ways;

  1. The number of millilitres of sealant you'll need for each metre you're looking to seal.

  2. The number of metres you can roughly expect to cover using one 310ml cartridge.

The results in the table are based on two simple formulas.

  1. To estimate how many ml you'll use per metre: 310 divided by Width X Depth.

  2. To estimate how many metres you'll be able to seal per cartidge: Width x Depth

Please bear in mind, these are estimates only. They don't allow for much wastage. All the metre per cartridge (m / cart)) numbers are based on 310ml cartridges.

To use the table below (or the calculations above) you'll need to know the depth and the width of the bead / seal you are looking to create.
