  • Long Lasting Cathodic Corrosion Protection for all Metal Surfaces (Indoors or Outdoors).
  • Based on microfine Zinc Flakes (rather than pellets) for superior rust and corrosion protection.
  • Colour matches that of hot dip galvanised parts.

Applications for Zinc Spray - Bright Grade

  • Coating and protecting metal parts located outdoors.
  • For the coating and protecting of welded joints.
  • Protecting and coating drilled holes
  • Protecting exposed metal edges on galvanised parts and fixtures
  • As a conductive intermediate layer for spot welding
  • In many, many other applications where metal parts need to be protected from corrosion.

Zinc Spray – Bright Grade is an easy to use surface and corrosion protection spray. This German-engineered spray is based on very high purity (99.9%) microfine zinc flakes. These flakes naturally settle on the surface to form an impenetrable layer to prevent rust or corrosion. This allows our bright Zinc Spray to provide exceptionally long lasting protection and performance in even the most extreme of weather and environmental conditions.

Our Bright Grade of Zinc Spray has been designed so that its colour matches freshly hot dip galvanised parts (RAL 9006). This makes it ideal for touching up areas missed, cut or modified.

Zinc Spray – Bight Grade can be used on surfaces located indoors or outdoors. It will tolerate some component movement and flexing without cracking and passed the DIN EN ISO 1519 Mandrel Bend Test without showing any signs of hair cracking to back up this claim. It has also been tested in the ISO 9227 Salt Spray Test where it recorded an excellent result of providing protection for more than 240 hours.

Coatings created with Zinc Spray – Bright Grade will be dust dry after about 15 minutes and hardened after 12 hours. Though no top coating is required, if you would like to paint it afterwards, you can, but you should wait 24 hours after applying the spray. Bright Zinc coatings will also be highly resistant to abrasion and withstand temperatures between -50°C and +300°C.

Bright Zinc Spray can be used to protect all kinds of metal surfaces and parts. If you would like to use a primer first, we suggest our Weicon Zinc Spray (standard colour). Weicon Zinc Spray – Bright Grade has been approved by the German TUV (technical inspection association).

Can I use Bright Zinc Spray on galvanised metal?

Yes. Zinc Spray – Bright Grade has been coloured so that it matches new, hot dip galvanised parts. If you’re looking for a spray to match-up with galvanised parts that have been slightly weathered and are a bit more faded; we suggest our standard colour Zinc Spray.

How long does it take to dry?

Zinc Spray – Bright Grade will be dust dry after about 15 minutes and hardened after 12 hours. Please note these are approximates only as temperature and humidity can have an effect on the exact cure times. If you’re planning to paint over it, we suggest leaving it for at least 24 hours first.
