3M 427 Adhesive Aluminium Foil Tape is a high quality adhesive tape made from dead-soft aluminium coated on one side with an acrylic adhesive. The aluminium foil is 0.07mm thick (2.8 mil) while the tape itself has an overall thickness of just 0.12mm (4.6 mils).

The adhesive used on 3M 427 Aluminium Tape is transparent and bonds very well to most surfaces and material types. When bonding to steel, adhesive strength is 51 N / 100mm. This ensures excellent, lasting adhesive performance.

This aluminium foil tape is silver-grey in colour and is very efficient and effective at reflecting heat and light. It also exhibits excellent resistance to sunlight and UV and can be used for applications indoors or in harsh outdoor environments.

This high-quality 3M tape is flame resistant and meets U.L. 746C (File E 122798) and 723, Class “L” low flammability rating (File R 7311). It also meets the requirements of F.A.R. 25.853(a).

3M 427 Aluminium Foil Tape has very good chemical and solvent resistance and good temperature tolerance. Once applied, it will withstand temperatures between -54°C and +149°C. It also exhibits a very low moisture vapor transmission rate which makes it ideal for sealing applications.

This long lasting, high performance tape is used in a variety of different masking, holding, repair and splicing applications as well as for general purpose patching and sealing work. It is available in a variety of standard widths as well as custom sizes which can be arranged upon request.
