  • Premium natural rubber developed for abrasion, wear and impact protection.
  • Soft, flexible and highly elastic 40 Duro construction.
  • Excellent tensile, tear and abrasion performance for demanding lining applications.
  • Available by the metre in thicknesses from 1.5mm to 12mm.

Linaseal Red Lining Rubber is a premium-grade natural rubber sheet designed for demanding wear protection, lining, skirting and sealing applications. Its combination of excellent abrasion resistance, high elasticity and strong tear resistance makes Linaseal particularly well suited to equipment handling abrasive materials or exposed to repeated impact, flexing and mechanical wear.

Unlike harder general-purpose rubber compounds, Linaseal has a nominal hardness of just 40 Shore A, allowing it to flex, stretch and absorb impact while providing a durable sacrificial layer between abrasive materials and the equipment underneath.

Its smooth red surface also makes Linaseal easy to identify and provides a versatile material that can be cut, formed and fabricated into everything from complete chute liners to relatively small wear pads, skirts and seals.

Excellent Abrasion & Wear Resistance

One of the main reasons for choosing Linaseal is its resistance to mechanical wear.

The natural rubber formulation combines a soft surface with excellent resilience. Rather than simply providing a hard barrier against moving material, the rubber can flex and deform under impact before recovering its shape. This makes it particularly useful where equipment is subjected to repeated contact with abrasive bulk materials.

Linaseal records an abrasion resistance result of 85 mm³ at 5N and combines this with excellent tensile and tear properties.

This makes it an excellent choice for lining chutes, hoppers, transfer points and other equipment exposed to ongoing abrasion and wear.

Soft, Flexible & Highly Elastic

Linaseal has a nominal hardness of 40 Shore A (±5) and an elongation at break of up to 660% in testing.

This high elasticity allows the rubber to conform to curved and irregular surfaces while also absorbing movement, vibration and impact. It can be particularly useful in applications where a harder rubber sheet may be too rigid or susceptible to damage from repeated deformation.

Despite its softness, Linaseal provides excellent mechanical strength with a tested tensile strength of 19 MPa and tear resistance of 60 N.

The combination of softness, elasticity and physical strength makes it useful well beyond conventional chute lining.

Typical Applications for Linaseal Rubber

Linaseal is designed primarily for abrasion protection and industrial lining but its combination of flexibility, resilience and mechanical strength makes it suitable for a broad range of applications. Some examples of common uses include:

  • Chute and hopper linings.
  • Bin and tank linings.
  • Conveyor transfer point protection.
  • Rubber skirts and conveyor skirting.
  • Wear curtains and protective barriers.
  • Dust curtains, deflectors and sealing skirts.
  • Pulley lagging and equipment protection.
  • Conveyor slide guides.
  • Pipe protection and repair bandages.
  • Pipe wipers and flexible seals.
  • Drill rod seals.
  • Vacuum blankets.
  • Impact and wear pads.
  • General-purpose gaskets and seals.
  • Protective strips and fabricated rubber components.

It is particularly useful throughout mining, quarrying, mineral processing, bulk materials handling, manufacturing and heavy industry, where abrasive materials can rapidly wear unprotected equipment.

Good Resistance to Ageing & Oxidation

In addition to its mechanical properties, Linaseal provides good resistance to oxidation and ageing.

Its recommended operating temperature range is -20°C to +75°C, making it suitable for a broad range of ambient and moderately elevated-temperature industrial applications.

Like most natural rubber compounds, however, Linaseal is not recommended for contact with oils or petroleum products. Where exposure to these media is expected, another rubber compound such as Nitrile or Neoprene may be more appropriate.

Available Linaseal Rubber Sizes

Swift Supplies stocks Linaseal Red Natural Rubber in a useful selection of thicknesses for everything from lightweight skirts and protection through to substantial wear liners.

Thickness Roll Width Maximum Roll Length
1.5mm 1200mm 10 metres
3mm 1200mm 10 metres
4.5mm 1200mm 10 metres
6mm 1200mm 10 metres
9mm 1500mm 10 metres
12mm 1500mm 10 metres

All standard Linaseal Rubber listed here is sold by the lineal metre.

Where possible, multiple metres ordered will be supplied as one continuous length. For example, an order for 7 metres will normally be supplied as one 7 metre length. The maximum standard continuous roll length is 10 metres.

Custom Cut Linaseal Rubber Parts

In addition to supplying full-width Linaseal Rubber by the metre, Swift Supplies can fabricate the material to suit your application.

We can produce custom-cut strips, liners, wear pads, skirts, gaskets, seals and other rubber components to your required dimensions. This can be particularly useful for maintenance operations where replacement liners or wear components are required in repeatable sizes.

Custom slit widths can also significantly reduce installation time and material wastage when Linaseal is being used for conveyor skirting, equipment lining or other repetitive applications.

If you have a drawing, dimensions or an existing component that needs replacing, contact us to discuss your requirements.
