  • Tough interlock braided packing with good flexibility and compressibility.
  • Long lasting performance.
  • Manufactured in the USA using a proprietary PTFE lubricant for reduced friction.
  • Available by the metre.

Our PTFE Packing Style 3000T is a quality grade of gland packing used for sealing in pumps and valves. This grade of packing is manufactured in the USA with acrylic yarn that are then impregnated with a PTFE lubricant. The result is an interlock braided packing that is extremely tough, dense and long lasting.

Despite its toughness, 3000T PTFE Packing is flexible enough to be easy to install and will withstand continuous exposure to temperatures up to 260°C. Sometimes called PTFE rope or Teflon rope, 3000T has excellent chemical compatibility (2-12 pH range resistant) a shaft speed rating of 11.2 MPS and a pressure rating of 34.5 PSI.

Applications for Style 3000T PTFE Gland Packing

  • Gland and stuffing box sealing
  • Rotating, centrifugal and reciprocating Pump sealing
  • Valve sealing
  • Used to make packing rings.

How do I Cut It?

A box cutter (AKA Stanley knife) will get through our 3000T Packing, though you may need to make multiple slices (especially with the thicker sizes). If you’re looking to ensure you achieve an exact 45° cut (for making packing rings) specialised packing scissors are best.

Do you make Packing Rings?

We can supply them, yes. We don’t make them ourselves but we do have some great partners who do here in Australia. If you’d like us to arrange some for you shoot us an email with the sizes and details of what you’re after and we can arrange a quote. We can usually turn these around fairly quickly (local stock and a local ring manufacturer helps a lot with this).
